Mother appeal for her child's future

IMG_0013Kamala Gurung (name changed) , 31 years old single woman from Pokhara, now living with her 6 years old daughter. She was sentenced for two years imprisonment in the case of drug and now is, recently released from the prison and the due is remaining. She is now in the shelter of SETU Nepal for her treatment of HIV. She has borrowed Nrs. 50000 from her friends of prison which she has to pay back ASAP. "My mistake was affecting my daughter's future, being back to my daughter was more important to me than thinking about loan on my head, so I came back borrowing money with others". Really, a mother always thinks about future of her child than ownself. Now at SETU she is taking medicine for HIV and Tuberculosis. Her Husband died 1 year ago while she was in prison. Now she is not accepted in her husband house and also discriminated by maternal family after identifying HIV. Now SETU is addressing her health issue as first priority and at the same time it is also a big concern for her rehabilitation into society as well as the education of her daughter.
