Vision Neupane (name changed) 24 years old lady with HIV positive by birth from mid western part of Nepal is the former beneficiary of our livelihood/IG training program whose 6 years old daughter is also supported by SETU Nepal for her education. From seed money received from SETU Nepal after livelihood training she utilized if for running beauty parlor. When we visited Vision’s parlor to meet her and to evaluate our education program to her daughter we entered as a costumer of her parlor. Her hard work can be considered as an example that how a woman can manage her life in spite of that she is positive by birth. Being a single parent of her daughter after the death of husband it was not easy for her to struggle and to survive in this discriminated society. That is why she has not disclosed about her HIV infection due to fear of downfall of her business where she is doing very well. It shows that there is a great hope in all children even they are HIV positive by birth. Observing her potentiality and hard work we have selected her as one of the participants of entrepreneurship program of this year so that she can expand her cosmetic business into parlor.
