A Humbling Experience with Mothers and Children at Setu

It was my privilege to attend and facilitate during the Income Generating Training for women workshop at Setu Nepal, November 24-27, 2015. What a humbling experience for me to hear these women's stories and history at the beginning of the workshop (in Nepalese but sure received the feeling sense from their introductions). I gave a simple intro to art therapy through an explanation of gesture drawing, free drawing and sharing in pairs. Please ask ranju for the art therapy report if you would like to see more in depth what we explored! http://www.setunepal.org/art-therapy-for-positive-thinking/ I also did art with three children in residence for the day at Setu House- fun! and gave a short intro to a women's entrepreneur venture, Lovelady who make an ecological sanitary pad at an art studio in Patalekhet, Nepal, employing 5 women in the village. I feel satisfied with these simple offerings. Many thanks to Setu Nepal for having me volunteer this week. The staff here are very dedicated to helping and empowering women. My hat is off as I witness you all working together with equanimity and happiness. This is a good dedicated effort to fall into!

Thank You.

You are each in my heart.
